The writer loves Priyanka Chopra. Not just for her screen time, but for her infectious, loud, and always on the go attitude. She’s a woman who’s willing to be positive in the face of life’s difficulties and yet remain in control. In this article the writer will give praise to Priyanka Chopra and the rest of the cast for the hit film ‘Quantico’.
This film doesn’t have a single flaw or show-stopper, but it is rather a slow burn that gradually reveals the main character as she forms the quintessential CIA spy team. Although the film is not the best spy film ever made, there are certainly more than enough great qualities to be found here to make the film worth a watch.
The film opens with the name Priyanka Chopra written across the screen. The curious title, of course, makes people pay attention to the story and reveal some mystery regarding who she might be – in this case CIA agents Quantico.
Quantico is a show about elite agents who train each other as they work together to stop a terrorist plot. While that alone is not a bad idea, the screenplay goes further to explain that the team has a secret mission, which leads them to travel around the world.
In the beginning the characters of Priyanka Chopra and Sam Jones are introduced only briefly and it appears that the plot of the movie is about the two friends. That however changes after the first episode, which gives the first hint of what kind of scenario the movie is going to follow. The show gives an emotional journey to the characters through flashbacks and shows their progression as they grow together and face challenges as well as triumphs.
The acting from the lead actresses especially Gina Torres and Priyanka Chopra was a delight to watch as the twometamorphosed from mid-twenties to middle-aged and the one-liners are consistently great. This is all a part of the charm of the show and is a good complement to the actors, since their lives are at stake. For those who don’t know the show, then you will be pleasantly surprised as everything seems to work out as expected by the characters.
The dialogue has a strong subtext and the atmosphere is very good. The plot as well as characters build up and a little bit of foreshadowing builds up to a very strong conclusion. The cast is terrifically diverse and has a presence to spare to their characters.
While Priyanka Chopra, the only Indian actor on the Quantico, is good in the role of the FBI agent, he is partnered with an actor who has the most fantastic accent of the entire cast. However, Priyanka Chopra makes everyone around her very real and while Sam Jones seems like the stereotypical tough guy, there is a subtle development in him too which makes him one of the best characters of the show.
