On one occasion, John and Abigail went to investigate a mysterious death, but were cornered by a demon and had to fight off its large hand to get the information they needed.

With the help of the demon called Azazel, John and Abigail came to the conclusion that the country needed to become strong and vigilant against supernatural threats. After the man’s demise, John decided to take his place as the prime minister of the United Kingdom, but he still relied on the likes of Abigail to guide him through the difficult times that plagued the country.

As the leader of the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, Constantine has the ability to see spirits and demons that exist beyond what the modern world can perceive.
