Why People Do Not Want to Buy Steph Curry Jerseys
Steph Curry is quite a divisive figure in today’s NBA. Because Steph Curry does not like to be labeled, he comes across as something of a diva on the court who keeps his emotions in check.
Some fans feel Steph Curry is a diva. Well, I guess you could say that when he is winning, he is the ultimate diva, but if Steph Curry is not winning then he has the diva on lock down.
Steph Curry is a winner; he has never lost a game during his entire career. Even if he was injured during a game, Curry is still one of the best to ever play the game. On the other hand, he has lost games due to a lack of effort and attitude, which are no mistakes in his long career in the NBA.
It seems that being a leader for a team is not the sole issue in playing in the NBA. Curry seems to have a need to be the one to win the game. Some would question why this was a strength for him in high school and college, yet it seems that it is a weakness in the NBA.
Curry seems to be one of the hardest workers on the team. However, he does not seem to play the game to win the game; rather he seems to play to get a win. This is a bit disconcerting to many as it is not expected.
Curry also tends to walk into the game, and play big minutes. Often times, this is a precursor for a losing streak in the team. Curry has not been known to play well during a losing streak, especially when there are several players in the rotation that have been consistent all season.
The Warriors have a team-first attitude and, just like any other team, they choose their players based on performance and talent rather than a name on the back of the jersey. Even though Curry might be criticized for it, he is known to make those decisions.
When it comes to Christmas, it is tradition for many teams to wear the jersey of the team with which they play the most. However, a week into the season, when so many teams are dropping points, when no one in the league is knocking off an obvious NBA champion, and when Curry just cannot seem to find his rhythm, it is understandable why so many fans do not want to buy Curry jerseys.
